The Video Production Process

A brief outlook of the steps we use to take take our projects from concept through delivery. All videos – regardless of type, length or size – meticulously go through the following stages.

Pre-production

The most important step to production

The production and post production team of Real Life Cinematography will meet with the client in order to discuss the production phase of the project in detail. During this crucial phase, the goals of the shoot, the overall feel of the video as well as the logistics of the production will be discussed in order to ensure that the shoot will run timely, smoothly and in accordance to the needs and budget. We will then produce visual and written storyboards, which will effectively outline the expected results of the production. Once the storyboard is approved, our team will produce a shot-list which will outline in detail every shot of the production in order to ensure that all the necessary shots are captured according to the specifications of the storyboard.

Post Production

The final touch

Once the shoot is complete, We will create a rough cut (beta cut) of the video for preliminary approval. Once any necessary changes are made and the beta cut is approved by the client, our editors will complete the alpha cut, which will include all graphics, logos and text files. Once the alpha cut is approved by the client, we will conduct any necessary color corrections and audio corrections for the sequences and deliver the final cut. All of the changes requested by the client will be finalized prior to this step. The video will then be prepared for broadcast and be delivered in the required format.
